January and February 2014 Meetings

We have two great regional authors lined up for our first two meetings of 2014!

January: Vicki Lane

Madison County writer Vicki Lane is the Anthony-nominated author of six mystery novels set in Appalachia, including five books in her Elizabeth Goodweather series set in and around Asheville, North Carolina. Her latest Elizabeth Goodweather novel, Under the Skin, was published by Bantam Dell in October 2011. Join us in January as Vicki discusses her work and her unusual journey to becoming a professional mystery novelist!

February: Sallie Bissell

Asheville writer Sallie Bissell is the critically-acclaimed author of five Appalachian mysteries featuring Cherokee attorney Mary Crow. Her latest Mary Crow novel, Music of Ghosts, was published by Midnight Ink in April 2013. People Magazine called her first Mary Crow Novel, In the Forest of Harm, "a top-notch thriller." Join us in February as Sallie discusses her books, the craft of writing, and the crazy business of publishing mysteries.
